A divine apple in the Club

This variety, Canadian in origin, is the Group’s flagship product. It was discovered in the early 2000s and has been in production since 2006 and sold since 2008. Rivoira has exclusive rights to grow it and sell it in Europe, Russia, India, North Africa and the Middle East until 2034.

In 2013 an association was formed with the VI. P consortium and, at present, we have 400 hectares in Piedmont and 200 hectares under sub-licence in Val Venosta. The crop in Val Venosta has allowed us to increase supply, extend the sale period by two months so that it covers the whole of May and reach the markets in central, eastern and northern Europe in shorter timeframes and with fewer logistical costs.

An apple that tastes perfect

A bicolour apple with crunchy and juicy flesh, especially sweet and aromatic, high in polyphenols and flavonoids and with a characteristic aroma of honey and nectar. The Ambrosia apple is crunchy and has a highly distinctive flavour that has allowed it to become and remain popular with many consumers across the world in a very short period of time.

The sugar content is above average and can be as high as 17° Brix and its low acidity is a distinctive feature of this variety, accentuating the unmistakable aroma of Ambrosia. This is a high-quality apple, high in polyphenols, flavonoids, fibre and vital elements in a rich and balanced diet.
